Una delle prime opere della serie “Luce”, questo acquerello è stato dipinto in un’occasione speciale: durante la mia prima mini-personale, a Castelfranco Emilia (Modena) intitolata “Arte Viva”.
La mostra, che ho realizzato in collaborazione con altri 5 artisti, si basava sull’idea di rendere l’arte “viva”: oltre ad esporre le nostre opere (io ne ho proposte 12), io e gli altri artisti ci siamo alternati nella presenza in sala e abbiamo dipinto dal vivo durante gli orari di apertura della mostra, dando modo ai visitatori di vederci indaffarati nella produzione di un’opera per stimolare la loro curiosità.
Ha quindi per me un valore molto speciale, e rappresenta un principio che per me è importante: condividere il dietro le quinte, far capire che il “fare arte” è un’attività meravigliosa e alla portata di tutti.

This watercolour is one of the first artworks in the “Luce” series. It was painted on a special occasion for me: my first mini-solo show, in Castelfranco Emilia, Modena (Italy).
The show, which I organised in collaboration with other 5 artists, was based on the notion that we wanted to make art “alive” (“Arte Viva”): besides exhibiting our works (I had 12 on show), the other 5 artists and I took turns being in the gallery space during the show’s opening times and painting live while we were there. This gave visitors the opportunity to see each on of us at work on their pieces, and stimulated their curiosity.
This watercolour is very special to me, as it represents a fundamental goal of my artistic practice: sharing the “behind the scenes”, and letting everyone know that art making is a wonderful activity that is well within reach of everybody.
